Add Color / Flavor
Lakadong Turmeric is likely an extra-healthy addition to your diet. It is primarily the spice that gives curry its yellow color. Generally, turmeric is added at the beginning of the cooking process so that it is sauteed with other aromatics such as other whole spices, onions, ginger and garlic, also as this allows the release of curcumin, which is fat soluble. In earlier days, it was also used to dye threads / clothes ( **Just make sure not to spill it on your good linen as it definitely stains**). Turmeric can be used by blending it into smoothies, flavor soups, bring warm natural flavors to any curry or stew. and also a color pop to rice dishes (adding ½ teaspoon turmeric to the water when cooking the rice).
